Back to basics
I have found that when you want to do something creative and you just can't think of anything to do, the best thing is just go back to basics. Even little things can bring out the spark in you. I found these tiny little bird house chimes marked down to 25 cents and they have been sitting on my desk just waiting. They are made of, well I'm notsure what they are made of. I was thinking pine, but not sure. Anyway they are unfinished. So I got out my paints. The first one came out so pretty. Like a little gingerbread house. I could imagine Hansel and Gretal living there. That did it. The fire was burning. Out came the beads. Unfortunately at this time, it was late, and I was tired. But I had to do something. So I made another ring. Last time was flat herringbone stitch, this time was 2 drop herringbone stitch. I chose black with silver down the center. It was funny, if you looked at it from far away it looked just like a zipper. But once finished, beautiful. Makes me glad that painted the birdhouse.
