It's a new dawn, it's a new day

I had to take the time to clean.  Any crafter knows how things can pile up on you.  One day you have a clean workspace, a table, lamp, beadboard, and a container of pretty beads to work with.  Next thing you know.  PILES.  All around you.  Piles of books, boxes of beads, other craft projects, old cups of coffee, and receipts.  How do those receipts always get there?  and they multiply.  Before you know it, you have a one inch space to work with and a daunting pile of stuff around you.  It's hard to think straight.  Frankly, it saps all my creativity away.  So as much as I would like to just keep going, I have to stop and clean.

I had a hard day yesterday.  The spiral peyote did it.  All day long I tried to do things.  Gardening.  It rained. The herringbone ring again.  I fumbled.   I gave up.  It was when I relaxed and stopped forcing the issue, that my mind went creative.  So I started making hair clips at midnight.  It was a little project. But a happy one.  Life doesn't have to be so hard.  I don't know why I make it out to be that way.   So today, I'm off to the neighborhood craft retail store for more supplies.  I'll put the pictures up later.  I might even put them on my Etsy site, MyShopGirl.  Just so cute and easy.  It's nice to have a light project to unburden your mind and get you in the swing of things.
