My organically creative start

You ever dream of writing the great american novel?  Or spend a summer in France painting the Eiffel Tower?  Then the years slowly drip away and you look back wondering.  What if?  So here I am.  I've spent my entire life loving all things creative, artistic, unique, and green.  Not necessarily together.  Of course I would like them to be.  Who wouldn't?  Then...

I've had a breakthrough in life.  Decided to just go for it.  I love the green world, and I love the artistic world,  so why not just do what I love, and learn to do the rest.  What am I waiting for?  Two years ago, I started the garden.  (I was thinking organic)  How fun it would be to have a pretty little garden, free from pesticides, which I could just stroll through and pick to my hearts content.  I'm not actually a vegetable lover.  So I built it.  Actually, I keep adding on.  Sweet little boxes made from things I could find.  I used lumber in the yard for a couple sections, brick in a couple of sections, one section is made from a door frame my neighbor was throwing out, and another is a gardening kit box my other neighbor gave me.  There are pathways leading you through this bit of paradise.  Then the rain came this year.  I'll finish that another time.

Then I got chickens.  I'm up to four.  Something about the heat.  Only one egg a day.  It's from a different girl each time.  How do they decide who lays?  Rock, paper, scissors?  I'm trying to figure that one out.

Finally, last week, I decided to sell my jewelry.  If you want to see it go to Etsy.com and look up Packyknits Design.  That's the name of my shop.

Ahh, the excitement, the trepidation, and the wonderment.  I'm in a panic, and I want to pee in my pants.  What will happen?  Can I do it?  Can I live a green life?  What else can I learn about the art world?  Can I combine the two?  We'll see.  But I'm gonna go for it.  I'm going to do all the creative things that I had always wanted to do.  Let's see how much.

  1. Heidi if you ever catch your chickens doing rock, paper, scissors, make sure you take a picture because I'd love to see that! :)
