Tropical Storm Isaac has me indoors with the puppy. Thankfully I prepared ahead of time with batteries, water, snacks, and a brand new magazine. It's a special issue called Peyote Stitch and it's out by Bead and Button. If we didn't have a storm coming, I probably wouldn't have stopped at the magazine rack. Actually, I was looking for potato chips and the rack was right behind me so I opted to look for knitting magazines. That's when I spotted it. It looks great with 25 projects. There is an article on learning the secrets of Peyote and How to Read a Peyote Pattern. As you know, I attempted to learn peyote a couple of weeks ago. I even made a couple of rings. But I'm still not grasping the concept of the stitch. Herringbone is finally making sense, but Peyote is a not so much. I need someone to hold my hand on that one. I am thrilled with the new magazine. I'm hoping they do a special magazine for all the stitches. So with a chicken in the oven (store bought, not the one from the yard), and a new magazine, that's how I'm spending my day. Is the weather keeping you down?
