A little help from nature

Every year I plant my garden.  But a lot of thought goes into it before I even begin.  Yes, there is the obvious of what to plant, but also where and what to do before hand.  I do the obvious of tilling the soil.  Then I start a lot of my plants from seed indoors.  This gives them a starting chance.  I find that when I start from seed in the garden, the second the babies pop their heads out of the garden, they are almost immediately pecked to death by the peacocks.  You thought deer were bad.  I have a fence but still they manage to get in.  I don't mind the little dairy queen swirls they leave behind.  It's natural fertilizer.  But when the plop themselves down on freshly planted soil and take a dirt bath... I get irked.

Sorry, I got off on a tangent.  But that is one thing.  My garden is organic.  To the best of my ability.   I use organic fertilizer.  Even the chicken poop goes in the soil.  I also use the compost, from my compost pile.  Mix it up.  Smooth it out.  Make it pretty.  Then plant.  But besides the obvious of sun, water,  good soil and fertilizer, what can nature do for me?  Worms are so fabulous, making the best compost for your soil.  If what you have for soil is great.  It will be even better with worms.  Whenever it rains, I see all the warms  congregating in the streets.  So I give them a job.  I pick them up and give them a new home in my garden.  Then there are the bees, and hummingbirds, and butterflies which are all necessary to my garden.  Well, even if I pick them up and bring them to the garden, it doesn't mean they will stay.  So I try to plant a rich bouquet of flowers to attract them.  I prefer flowers that will last all summer, through all kinds of whether.  And for the little bees, I try to get flowers that have numerous blossoms.  This way they can do their job without tiring out quickly.  This makes them more likely to come back.  I also provide water.  Everyday I make sure the water bath is full.  It keeps everyone happy and hanging around.  A good party atmosphere.  Then, when my vegetable plants start flowering, they are sure to get the love and support of all my flying friends.

  1. I have been surfing online greater than 3 hours as of late, yet I never found any fascinating article like yours.

It is beautiful price enough for me. In my opinion, if all site owners
and bloggers made excellent content material as you did, the net
will be much more useful than ever before.
