Sometimes I wake up in a panic that I've forgotten how to knit. Oh, no! I can't remember how to cast on! Then I pick up the needles and a pretty piece of yarn and it all comes back. At times I wish that I only had one creative passion. But no, I've got several. I create like I eat. Vegetables first, then starch then protein. Not a bite of one then the other, or mixed together. Same with crafting. Beading in the hot months, knitting in the cold, painting in the tween months. I guess I'm afraid I'll loose my fondness for a craft if I do it all the time. But this way it does make me so much more excited when I switch crafting seasons.
I just launched into knitting yesterday. Took out a pair of socks (or should I say sock!) that I had started months ago. I finally found the pattern but dagnabit, I have no idea where the sister skein went. Hopefully, I have enough from this one to finish it. Just have to weigh it and I'll know. I do wish that I had the label for the yarn so I could tell you all about it. It's so beautiful in a dark sage and so soft. My toes are going to love it. The goal is to finish them before the month is out. Twelve days left? Plenty of time. I hope.
What are you guys knitting these days? Or do you have other projects on the table?
