Save the BEES!!!

So here is a warning to you.  If you have a hummingbird feeder, make sure all your petals are safely secured otherwise...THE HORROR!

I knew one of my petals had fallen off, but Hurricane Isaac happened and my feeder was in the middle of flood-born pond.  I couldn't get to it.  Finally the waters evaporated and I ventured out there today.  I came armed with a new batch of "nectar" to refill the container.  But when I opened it...bees.   dead bees.  The little plastic flowers on the feeder had popped off, allowing space for the bees to get into the liquid.  Oh, it was horrible.  I felt so terrible as I scrapped their dried out lifeless bodies out of the feeder.  Well, I've learned from the experience.  I've picked myself up.  Dusted myself off.  Tightened all the petals.  Refilled the jar.  The hummingbirds can have their drink and the bees can be safe as well.  I'm passing this on in hope of another way to save more bees.

Save the bees!
