Well, I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but by the lack of blogs you can probably figure out that my life is a little turned upside down. My place is in chaos and for the most part, any craft projects seem to have gone on the back burner. Actually, I can't even find most of them. For now, I'm limited to knitting. I know the knitters out there are thinking that's not half bad and it's not. But just the thought that I'm being kept from my other worlds of art, has me a little antsy. Right now I'm dying to finish this painting I was working on of ladies shopping in a Jamaican market. It's so colorful with the women milling around purchasing tropical fruits. I even managed to get the pants on one of the women, worn out in just the right spots. Sadly, the painting has to wait. Then there is my bead work. BURIED! I know it's under there. (it calls me sometimes). The rescue will have to wait.
So, I knit and all things related. Shopping online for yarn has become a bit obsessive. I can't tell you how many times in the last 2 weeks that I found myself on Knit Picks website. I even buckled under the pressure and purchased a set of blocking tools for socks. If I love to make the socks, why not invest? But now that they are on their way in the mail, I find, I need other sizes too. Sigh! We always need more don't we? Then I found these fabulous circular needles by ChiaoGoo. The cord is red and flexible, and the needles are stainless, but a tad too sharp. I still like them. They are my new toy. I had to download the Pine Forest Baby Blanket by Ingrid Aartun so I could cast on right away. I'm not using the Happy Forest colorway like is suggested, instead I'm using Lullaby Ombre. It was in my stash, and I'm dying to use it up. A friend of mine will be the recipient, and I know she will be pleased.
That's what I have been up to lately, well just a smidge of it anyway. I might share the rest with you tomorrow.
