My jewelry class started today. I mentioned it awhile back. You probably forgot. Oh, last night I was in trepidation preparing my little case. I had no idea what to bring, so I packed a little of everything. Of course the items I thought I could do without were, well, what I actually needed. Man, was that teacher prepared. We lacked for nothing. She had bag after bag. You want to look at pictures? Here's a bag of books. You need tools? Have I got the tool for you. Supplies? Yup! Got them too.
So far there are only five students. But it's nice this way. You get a lot more attention. You know, for a person who is shy and riddled with anxiety, I do find myself quite needy. How's this look? Am I doing it right? Teacher! Over here! Teacher!
She did seem pleased with our work. And our two hour class, rolled over into a three hour class. She said if we get there 1/2 an hour early each time, it will be a 3 1/2 hour class. We seem to be getting a lot for the money. I find classes are a lot of talk in the beginning, and you don't really get into the projects until half the way through. Today we did a lot. She taught some basics in wire wrapping, made jump rings (I knew that already) finished one necklace, started another necklace, and made a kitty cat keychain with a wire wrapped tail. They all came out differently. I was disappointed that I did not get the class I originally signed up for, but this class will do just fine. I almost panicked and canceled out, glad I didn't.
